Handful of Radishes

Here's one of my newer pieces, titled Handful of Radishes. As you can easily tell, I love to work with warmer colors. This painting was created with acrylic paint. To give the shirt in the background a gritty texture, I used these flat clay stamps (which we also put to use for my prints) to stamp yellow and white paint on, mimicking a linen texture.

The hands were really difficult to capture here. I also used warm colors here because I liked the way they meshed with the color of the radishes as well. I hoped to use blue green to make the whole thing pop a little bit more, incorporate some contrast.
