I've been working with my watercolors lately and taking inspiration from Pinterest, created a watercolor piece for a friend of mine. With lots of experimenting I learned that sketching with pencil first makes my strokes much more accurate and adds more definition, I even like the way the lead compliments the color.

I worked mostly with pink and purple hues for the perfume bottle and the background consists of thick black and white stripes. This was really fun to paint and I'm pretty happy with the results!
